Building a fresh pineapple supply route from Panama to Madrid
|

Premium pineapples from Panama.
Following our visit to Fruit Attraction Madrid, we identified a growing demand in the European market for premium-quality pineapple with consistent sweetness and reliable supply. This market insight marked the starting point for the development of a structured commercial route connecting Panama directly with Madrid.
Our approach focused on translating market needs into an operational solution — ensuring quality, traceability, and efficiency from origin to destination.

Product Origin & Quality Standards
Fresh Food sources pineapples directly from selected farms in Panama, prioritizing fruit that meets strict quality and sweetness standards. Only pineapples with a Brix level above 13 are selected, ensuring a naturally sweet product aligned with the expectations of European buyers.
By maintaining close control at the farm level, we guarantee consistency, freshness, and full traceability throughout the supply chain.
Harvesting & Packing Process
Once harvested, the pineapples are carefully handled and packed following export-ready standards. Each unit is selected, labeled, and prepared to preserve freshness and product integrity during transport.
Our packing process is designed to meet international logistics requirements while maintaining the visual and physical quality of the fruit upon arrival.

Weekly Air Shipments to Europe
As a result of this development, Fresh Food established a strategic commercial relationship with a European client requiring consistent weekly deliveries. The operation currently supports approximately 2,700 kilograms of pineapple per week, shipped by air to ensure optimal freshness and timely delivery.
Each shipment is adapted to the client’s specific requirements, reinforcing our commitment to flexible, demand-driven logistics solutions.

This ongoing operation reflects Fresh Food’s ability to convert market insights into reliable supply chains, combining agricultural expertise, quality control, and efficient logistics to serve international markets.
